Jubilee jubilations
One of our busiest weekends for Chelmsford bouncy castle hire in 2022 was the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend. With an extra bank holiday as part of the celebrations, our team was busy criss-crossing the county to get the parties started. From Harwich to Harlow, Saffron Waldon to Southend, we delivered inflatable fun to jubilee parties large and small from our Chelmsford bouncy castle hire base.
We were greatly saddened by the passing of Her Majesty later in the year, but we're sure she would’ve been delighted to see how much joy her jubilee brought to the nation before she left us. We’re already preparing for the coronation next year, when another extra bank holiday will bring street parties across Essex.
A scorching summer
As well as the Platinum Jubilee, we were also lucky to have an absolute scorcher of a summer. Temperatures in Writtle, just down the road from our Chelmsford bouncy castle hire warehouse, hit a record of 39°C, with Lincolnshire braking the 40° barrier in Britain for the first time since records began.
The scorching temperatures meant that our water slides, such as the shark water slide, were hugely popular, along with our twin slush machine to cool down hot bouncers. Let’s hope 2023 is as sunny and warm as the summer this year so we can all get out and enjoy the weather.
A winter World Cup
2022 also saw the first ever winter World Cup, with both England and Wales heading to Qatar for November and December. This saw a big rise in bookings for football themed Chelmsford bouncy castle hire, as everyone got in the mood for the big games. Fans also flocked to book our inflatable cinema screen to make the big games even bigger, as well as our penalty shootout game to re-enact the many thrilling finishes, including the final itself.
Speaking of sports, Monster Inflatables were proud to become a main sponsor of Runnymede Swimming Club. It's our of giving a little bit back to the local community that has supported us so much this year.
